Carnival Time means free download!

I started my literary career in traditional publishing, with six historical romances published by Kensington. You know how that system works, a writer is lucky enough to have someone publish their books, they receive a check for royalties and the book lands on shelves everywhere.

So when I got the rights back and considered republishing those books as ebooks, my dear friends and mentors suggested I make the first book in my series free. The idea took me back, to say the least. Give away my hard work?

Here's the thought. There are so many readers out there who don't know me from Eve so why not give them the incentive to download a book and try me out. For those who read me in print, why not get an ebook for free for their Ereader?

Which is exactly what I did. The first book in each of my three series is FREE to download. Always.

But I do make other books free on occasion. In fact, quite often.

"Carnival Confessions: A Mardi Gras Novella," which takes place during the most festive time of the year in my home state of Louisiana, will be FREE starting Monday, Jan. 6 (Twelfth Night, the beginning of the Carnival Season) and continuing until the big day of Tuesday, Feb. 25, otherwise known as Mardi Gras.

I'll have other promotions happening too — "A Ghost of a Chance" on Prolific's Paranormal Promotion Jan. 22-Feb. 5, for instance — so watch your inbox for more news.
